The Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (PBUH) Holds a Course on Conserving Manuscripts.

The Manuscripts Division in the Cultural and Intellectual Affairs Department cooperated with the Islamic University in Najaf and held a course on conserving manuscripts.

“More than a year ago, we established a special section for conserving manuscripts. The section aims at teaching students the methods of conserving manuscripts in order to revive the Arabic and Islamic heritage to be passed into the coming generations,” Dr. Ammar al-Salaami chancellor of University stated.

“The course lasted for two days. More than thirty trainees joined in the course. The head of the Manuscripts Division Sheikh Safa al-Wadis, and Sayyid Ahmed the trainer in the holy shrine of Imam Ali (PBUH) supervised the course. Theoretical and practical lectures were conducted,” Dr. Fatima al-Salaami the head of the manuscripts section in the University.

Certificates of Appreciation were given to the lecturers and the division.
