Returning an Ancient Brass Vase to the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (PBUH).

Returning an Ancient Brass Vase to the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (PBUH).

An official ceremony held celebrating returning a valuable ancient brass vase by the tribe-chief Amir Hanoon al-Ibrahimee. A delegation of dignitaries, tribe-chiefs, and officials in the city attended the ceremony.

The head of the administration committee of the holy shrine, Mohammad Razouqi received them warmly.

“This brass piece is a large vase that is about one meter high dyed with silver. It belongs to the Qajar era. The inscriptions on the vase indicate that is was made in 135 AH,” Dr. al-Ibrahimee stated.

“Moreover, names of the fourteen infallibles in addition to verses of a poem eulogizing Imam Hussein are inscribed on the vase,” the doctor added.

Sheikh Amir Hanoon al-Ibrahimee, who had the honor of returning the vase, said, “I had the honor of bringing this vase back to the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (PBUH). We exerted ourselves and did our best efforts to bring it back from Istanbul as we bought it at an exorbitant price from a Turkish merchant.”

“After recuperating from a heart attack by virtue of Allah and Imam Ali (PBUH), I presented a hand-made rug embedded with gold and precious stones to the holy shrine,” he added.
