The Holy Book of Nahj Al-Balagh Is Kept in Nine Foreign Languages in the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi.

The director of foreign book hall of Astan Quds Razavi’s central library, noted the keeping of Nahj Al-Balagh translations in nine languages of the world (other than Persian and Arabic).

Hamidreza Montazer Abadi, announcing this news on the occasion of January 13th, the anniversary of the demise of Master Seyyed Jafar Shahidi; Persian translator of Nahj Al-Balaghe said, “Nahj Al-Balaghe translations in nine languages of English, French, Urdu, Serbian, Turkish, Italian, Hungarian, Pashto and Bosnian are available in this hall.”
“Members of the central library of Astan Quds Razavi, with the membership codes 1, 2, 3 and 4 (from the undergraduate level to PhD), can borrow up to five copies of books in English, French and Urdu from this hall and books from other languages are only to be studied at the hall” he stated
Montazer Abadi pointed to the translation of the Holy Quran in the 74 world languages in the foreign books hall of Astan Quds Razavi and expressed, “At present, over 116,540 volumes are available in 92 languages to visitors of this hall.”
During the first nine months of this year” he said “more than 14800 people visited the hall, more than 900 of whom were guests.”
“During this period, also more than 27400 copies of the books were read by the authors, researchers and translators in this hall and about 6700 copies have been borrowed by members of the library” the expert in charge of the foreign books hall added.
“According to the approved regulations, we are allowed to purchase books on the topics of Islam, Iran, the Middle East and some frequently referred books on humanities; however, in terms of reference books, it covers almost all topics and sciences” he emphasized, stating that the resources of the foreign books hall were procured through purchase and donation.
Montazer Abadi mentioned the hall as one of the most important sections of the central library of Astan Quds Razavi and added, “This section consists of three parts: the closed repository, the study hall and the lending unit, which single volume and exquisite books are kept in the closed repository.”
“Visitors can use their intended book in the study room by searching it in the Simorgh software installed on the computers located in the hall and submit the book guide number to the repository librarian, or copy and scan the required pages” he said.
Montazer Abadi, saying that the foreign books hall in the space of 518 square meters on the ground floor faces the researchers' hall reiterated,  “Members and guests on even days from 7:30 to 18:45, on Sundays and Tuesdays from 7:30 to 13:30, and on Thursdays from 7:30 to 12:30 can visit the hall.”
There is also a collection of Nahj Al-Balaghe, and interpretations related to this valuable book in Persian and Arabic in other parts of the central library of Astan Quds Razavi, such as the printing repository, as well as the Office of Makhtutat (the site for the maintenance of manuscripts and lithography) and their resources according to the rules of the library are available to researchers.
It is worth mentioning that the holy book of Nahj Al-Balaghe, the great work of the first Imam of the Shi'ites, Imam Ali (A.S.) consists of three important parts: sermons, letters and wisdom words. This work has been compiled by Seyyed Razi and includes 241 sermons, 79 letters, and 480 wisdom words.
