Sayyid El-Ewseya Pilgrim City receives 800,000 pilgrims in a week.

The management of Sayyid El-Ewseya Pilgrim City has announced that it received approximately 800,000 pilgrims last week.

Mudheffer Mohammed She’ban, city director, said that the city offers everything pilgrims need during their pilgrimage to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him), such as food, water, medical assistance, accommodation, and other things.

 

He added that the city offers about 20,000 meals a day to the pilgrims coming on foot from Baghdad and other cities to the holy city of Kerbela.

 

Sayyid El-Ewseya Pilgrim City is located on Kerbela-Baghdad road. Its capacity is 18,000 pilgrims per day. There are 380 employees working in it, and tens of volunteers work temporarily, during grand pilgrimages.
